Singapore – Jetstar Asia and Qatar Airways will re-establish their interline partnership from 27 September, providing customers an expanded network of travel options through Singapore’s Changi Airport.
The agreement enables Qatar Airways’ customers to seamlessly connect to and from ten Jetstar Asia (3K) destinations with a single ticket itinerary, through-checked baggage, and meals and refreshments onboard.
Destinations on Jetstar Asia’s Southeast Asia network currently include Bangkok, Clark, Ho Chi Minh City, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Penang, Phnom Penh, Phuket and Surabaya.
Clive Ashmore Butler, Head of Commercial and Alliances, Jetstar Asia said they were looking forward to once again welcoming Qatar Airways’ passengers on board as they connect to and from Jetstar Asia’s network via Singapore.
“As we continue to ramp up our operations it’s great to offer our expanding network to more customers who are looking to travel in Southeast Asia,” Mr. Ashmore Butler said.
“As a leading global hub, Changi’s world-class facilitates make Singapore a leading choice for customers looking to connect between Qatar Airways’ global network and key cities in Southeast Asia.
“With Jetstar’s Fly Well safety measures in place, combined with the fact that all our team members are fully vaccinated, our customers can rest assured that the safety of our people and our customers is our first priority.”
Mr Jared Lee, Vice President of Sales for Southeast Asia and South Asia Subcontinent, Qatar Airways said: “Qatar Airways looks forward to reconnecting more passengers from the region to their flights via Changi Airport. The interline partnership with Jetstar Asia enhances connectivity in the region to Qatar Airway’s global network, and will be another small but significant step towards global travel recovery.”
At check-in, connecting Qatar Airways’ passengers must meet all relevant entry requirements and can be checked through at their first international departure point for the onward connecting service. Depending on the connection, transit passengers may be guided into transit holding areas at Changi Airport before boarding the Jetstar Asia flight.
The Jetstar Group was recently listed as Asia Pacific’s best low-cost airline in 2021 and currently flies to ten key destinations in Southeast Asia.
