CLARK FREEPORT – More options for passengers from the Clark International Airport to the Garden City Singapore have opened with the resumption of the services of Jetstar Asia (JSA) starting June 16.

The low-cost carrier’s fleet of Airbus A320s will operate four return services each week, which will increase to five return services from October 18. This expansion will offer more than 90,000 low-fare seats between the two destinations per year.

Welcoming the return of Jetstar Asia to CRK after more than a two-year hiatus were JSA COO Geoffrey Lui, Luzon International Premiere Airport Development Corp. president Noel Manankil, Bases Conversion and Development Authority president and CEO Joshua Bingcang, Department of Tourism-Region 3 director Richard Daenos, and Clark Development Corp. VP for engineering services group Teresito Tiotuyco.

JSA’s re-inaugural flight 3K775 from Singapore’s Changi Airport carried 164 passengers, including one infant. It also sent off flight 3K776 with 173 passengers, including 2 infants.

Lui noted the SIN-CRK-SIN route reinforced Jetstar Asia’s commitment to making the region more accessible: “Clark serves as an important hub for both business and leisure travelers, and we are excited to offer more travel options for our customers.”

“With so many reasons to visit Clark, our crew and our passengers have been looking forward to our return to this popular destination so it’s great to add Clark back to our network,” he enthused.

Cutting the cake in celebration of Jetstar’s return are (L-R) LIPAD PCEO Noel F. Manankil, CDC VP Teresito T. Tiotuyco, BCDA PCEO Engr. Joshua M. Bingcang, JSA COO Geoffrey Lui, and DOT-3 director D. Richard G. Daenos. Contributed photo
