ANGELES CITY—Long before national mall chains arrived in Pampanga, a modest commercial center quietly laid the foundation for local retail in the heart of Angeles. Jenra—a homegrown brand that grew into a household name across Central Luzon.
This week, Jenra celebrated its 25th anniversary with a Tenants Appreciation Day, honoring long-time partners who have stood by the brand through decades of change.
“We invited all our tenants who’ve been with us through the years to celebrate and give back,” said TSB Realty and Development Corporation General Manager Byron John Siy.
“It’s been a fruitful partnership built on trust, community, and shared growth,” he added.
From its first store on Jesus Street to six (6) supermarkets now serving Angeles and nearby towns, Jenra has become more than a retail brand—it’s a symbol of local resilience.
“It was my grandfather’s (Tan Song Bok) dream to make Jenra an iconic brand for the people of Angeles and Bataan,” said Siy.
“We’ve always aimed to provide quality service at the lowest possible cost, especially for families trying to stretch their budgets,” he said further.
The brand’s commitment to affordability remains central to its identity.
“We know how difficult life can be, and we’ve always advocated for bringing the cheapest products to our community,” Siy said.
“Making life better for every Angeleño has always been our goal,” he added.
Looking ahead, Jenra is preparing for many expansions. While details remain under wraps, the group assures that more branches are coming.
“We’re growing, but we’re staying true to our roots,” the spokesperson said.
To add excitement to the 25th anniversary, Jenra supermarkets and malls are gearing up for festive activities, including a “Shop and Dine” raffle, 25-peso deals, and a Kapuso mall show featuring guest artists. A street party is also planned at Jenra Grand Mall, closing off one of the nearby roads for the celebration.
Also as the Christmas season fast approaching, Jenra continues to serve as a reliable destination for holiday needs from groceries to gift ideas.
“Whether it’s for your noche buena or corporate gifts, we’re here to help,” Siy said.
