Enduring the test of time – JDN Realty Group (JDN), composed of Juan D. Nepomuceno Sons, Inc., Teresa G. Nepomuceno Realty Corporation (TGN), Wespan Development Corporation, and Borealis Corporation, proudly celebrated its 59 years of service, excellence, and unwavering commitment to its community on January 12, 2024.

Founded in 1979, JDN embarked on a journey grounded on a simple desire to cater to the townspeople’s needs that evolved into a grand vision that will eventually raise the bar in the local entrepreneurial scene and elevate the lifestyle of the community.

President and CEO Rick N. Wilkerson, the driving force behind JDN, expressed gratitude for his predecessors in his opening remarks. “I am honored and proud to follow in the footsteps of these visionaries, who put their heart and soul into the business. This, by far, is the most rewarding time of my career, to be able to stand on their shoulders and do my small part in this “grand plan” said Wilkerson, referring to Chairman Emeritus Engr Peter G. Nepomuceno, Chito S. Nepomuceno, and Arni N. Valdes.

Engr. Peter G. Nepomuceno (PGN) is and will always be a beacon of inspiration for the family and the organization being the visionary who started it all. His role in the organization fosters ingenuity, empowering others to reach their full potential.

In his speech, PGN shared the story of the humble beginnings of his parents Juan D. Nepomuceno and Teresa G. Nepomuceno. It was with their insatiable drive to be of service to the community that they were able to breathe life into one of those celebrated family dynasties that have brought power to society in their respective regions and decentralized power from the nation’s capital.

He said “we have weathered economic storms, embraced technological revolutions, and navigated the complexities of a dynamic market. Through it all, our unwavering commitment to our values and the well-being of our community has remained steadfast” proudly looking back on the legacy the family and their dedicated workforce has built.

For his part, Arni Valdes highlighted JDN’s contribution to society. “From the very beginning, our mission has been clear, to be more than just a financially successful enterprise but also an organization that helps and has a heart. We constantly look back at the vision of our grandparents who aim to uplift the lives of the people in the community which we call home.”

Through the years JDN Realty Group has become an integral part of the community’s story not just because of the development of retail establishments and office spaces in Nepo Center but also because of the company’s corporate social responsibility initiatives.

“Our commitment to the community goes beyond profit margins; it is a commitment to shared growth, prosperity, and a better quality of life for all,” he added.

A TOAST TO AN EVEN BRIGHTER FUTURE

The anniversary celebration was not only a time for reminiscing but also an opportunity to look towards the future. The company’s vision for the coming years is rooted in the same principles that have guided it thus far – service, integrity, and excellence

JDN’s future truly remains positive with Wilkerson proclaiming his determination to continue the legacy of creating opportunities and shining the light on Angeles City’s potential.

PRESIDENTS OF JDN: (L-R) Juan “Chito” S. Nepomuceno III who is represented by his daughter Pinky Nepomuceno (2003-2007), Engr. Peter G. Nepomuceno (1965-2003), Arni N. Valdes (2007-2019), and Rick N. Wilkerson (2019-present) led the celebratory toast on the momentous occasion celebrating JDN’s legacy and its bright future

“As I build on the solid foundation that they left behind, I can only aspire to continue to grow the business as they’ve done during the last six decades, expanding not only the interests of the family but also—and most especially—that of the community,” he said.

Rick N. Wilkerson’s leadership is the advent of a new era for JDN, which began with the entry of Rockwell Land at Nepo Center, the first of its kind outside Makati City poised to elevate the lifestyle of Angeles City and its neighboring towns. JDN and IWG’s partnership to bring Regus to the Nepo Center also puts the company in the global workspace map, further solidifying its goals of expansion and innovation. This 2024, the opening of Nepo Mall Jaen is one that is also looked forward to by many, being JDN’s third commercial establishment outside Pampanga.

On a final note, Noel N. Valdes, Chief Facilities Management Officer, urged everyone to look ahead and not underestimate the impact of one’s daily efforts. “Let us embrace the opportunities that lie ahead with enthusiasm and determination. We are fortunate to stand on a solid foundation built by the hard work and dedication of those who came before us. This foundation is not just the bedrock of our success but a launchpad for the future.” he said.

“As we work hard, let us do so with the unwavering belief that our best days are not behind us but are, in fact, unfolding before our very eyes.” said Valdes as he closed the event.

JDN CELEBRATES ITS PEOPLE

It’s a rare and remarkable occurrence to find individuals dedicating not just years, but entire decades to a single organization. JDN, a beacon of resilience and stability, took the time to honor and celebrate the invaluable contributions of some of its longest-serving employees, with a few marking an astounding four decades of service.

The heartbeat of any successful organization lies in its people and the company has always recognized this truth. Among the honored employees, some have been part of the organization since its early days, witnessing and actively contributing to its growth and evolution. Their commitment goes beyond mere employment; it is a story of shared victories, lessons learned, and a deep sense of belonging.

So as part of the celebration, the company gave appreciation to its loyal and hardworking people by holding a Service Awards segment and a raffle draw. Through this, JDN hopes to show gratitude for its people who have been instrumental in shaping its legacy. The company knows that these people are also the key to delivering unparalleled value as it embarks on the next chapter of serving the community with integrity and excellence.

JDN Realty Group is the developer of Nepo Center, homegrown community chain of retail & office spaces Nepo Mall Angeles, Nepo Mart Angeles, Newpoint Mall, The Quad, eNtec1 and eNtec2. Nepo Center is a mixed-use township located at the heart of Angeles City poised to be the home of Kapampangan cuisine and products. Other businesses include Nepo Mall Dagupan and Nepo Mart Alaminos, both in Pangasinan and soon-to-open Nepo Mall Jaen in Nueva Ecija.
