JASMINE CURTIS-SMITH wants to prove that she has her own identity.
As Anne Curtis’s younger sister, Jasmine signed with GMA network. “Okay naman ako dito sa GMA,e.
“Siguro mas maganda kung dito ako para naman I wont always be compared to Anee.hehe! Jasmine was asked on getting more acting acclaim compared to sister Anne Curtis:
“May strength ako, may strength din siya. Flattered lang ako na yun yung nakikitang strength ng tao sa akin.”
What’s her reaction when people say that she’s more of an actress as compared to Anne?
“I’m flattered to hear that, kasi I know I can say that’s one of my strengths.
“But I can also say na the one thing that I don’t have that my sister has, is that mas may charm siya.
“That’s why she’s Asia’s Sweetheart or Philippine Sweetheart, kasi mas kaya niyang maabot yung masa.
“Yung personality niya mas kumbaga nakaka-engganyo sa tao.
“So that’s something that’s… hindi mo siya mapag-aaralan, e.
“Innate na yun sa ‘yo, mas siya talaga yun
“Dun na lang ako bumabawi, habang siya marami na siyang trophies in her philanthropies and her works as a public figure.
“Kasi ang dami na niyang ano, e… she’s an entertainer, actress, singer, host, chu-chu-chu.”
But Jasmine is more of an actress.
“Pero kasama na rin yun sa job title niya.
“So, I feel like yun, may strength din ako, may strength din siya.
“Flattered lang ako na yun yung nakikitang strength ng tao sa akin.”
What’s her best advice to sister Anne?
“Ako sa kanya? More of ano, more of personal na, ‘Can you rest? Take rest,’ kasi addict siya sa trabaho.”
Until now Anne isn’t getting preggy because of her busy schedules.
She got married to Erwan Heussaff in Novewember, 2017.
“Oo, para may time na magka-family.
“I want her to take more resting days.
“Alam ko namang impossible yun dahil araw-araw ang It’s Showtime.
“But para naman ma-absorb niya yung self niya kahit for one day na hindi Anne Curtis the Star, but just Anne Curtis the wife, Anne Curtis as who she is.
“As a woman, and as a sister, as a daughter, kaka-miss din to spend time with her.”
Anne also gave her advice to her.
“Siya sa akin, ang advice niya, ‘Relax ka lang.’
“Kasi ano ako e, mabilis ma-tension, ma-anxious, uminit ulo.”
It’s Jasmine who possess those qualities, not Anne.
“Mas kontrolado ko, pero sa ilalim niyan parang ummmmm…
“Gumaganon na ako minsan, pero more than anything is that ano, yung tono kasi ng boses ko, minsan it can come off strong.
“So, ‘Baliin mo lang nang konti, kung kaya mong gawing comedic yang mga sinasabi mo, try mo para yung pagtanggap ng tao dito sa ‘yo, light.’
“Iyon yung na-master niyang charm, oo.
“Which is hinahanap ko pa sa akin.”

JAY-R proposed to longtime girlfriend Mica Javier tonight, October 21, at Nobu Hotel, City of Dreams Manila.
The event was witnessed by their families and close friends from showbiz.
Jay-R and Mica were at Nobu Hotel in City of Dreams Manila to shoot a music video together.
Later on, they met friends and family at a nearby restaurant.
Jay-R surprised Mica and popped the question.
Mica was clearly taken aback by the proposal, but she answered yes.
Celebrities such as Coleen Garcia, Billy Crawford, Kris Lawrence, Jason Dy, Karylle, Denise Laurel, Karla Estrada, and Jaya witnessed the engagement.
Jaya wrote on Instagram, “Congratulations @rnbjayr and @mica on your engagement!
“We are so happy and excited for your new life together. We love you and may God bless you always!”
Coleen gave us a look at Mica’s engagement ring on her Instagram Stories.
She captioned, “She still has no idea what’s going on!”
Over at Jay-R’s Instagram, he was happy to call Mica his fiancée.
They have been together for five years.
