Supt. Joel K. Tampis, Balanga city police chief, identified the suspects as Jason Casem,27, married , janitor, of Balanga City, and Hynden Hontiveros, 40, married, a newly-hired security guard of Catalina Agency of Mariveles, Bataan.
“They will be charged for attempted robbery because they were not able to open the vault containing P100,000 representing Monday’s collections,” the city chief of police said, adding they have witnesses.
Tampis said the suspects used a hammer and a blunt knife in trying to open the vault.
Lawyer Amante Capuchino, Bataan RD, said his employees discovered at 8 a.m. Tuesday the attempted robbery committed Monday before midnight.
He pointed to a broken glass window jalousie where the suspects passed.
Capuchino said the janitor was with the RD for four years while the security guard for only five months.
The suspects are presently detained at the Balanga City police station undergoing investigation.
