GAPAN CITY – A Bulacan senior jail officer was killed by riding in tandem gunmen while on his way to work along Dona Josefa Bridge this city at around 4:45 a.m. Monday.
Police identified the victim as Senior Jail Officer 3 Melanio Moulic, Jr. 54, a resident of Sitio Ilog, Barangay Mallorca, San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija and detailed at Baliuag Municipal Jail in Baliuag, Bulacan.
Investigation disclosed that the victim was driving his service tricycle on his way to report to work when the suspects repeatedly shot him from behind.
Investigation is being conducted to escertain the motive behind the killing and possible identification of the suspects, police said.
