FLORIDABLANCA – At least two investors have expressed their intention to build entertainment centers here, including a studio similar to that of the Universal Studios.

Disclosing this Punto over the weekend, Mayor Eddie Guererro said he recently met the investors in a meeting with President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in Malacañang.

Guerrero disclosed that Arroyo had convinced the investors to put up studios in the town.

“I thank the President for really bringing investors in our town,” said Guerrero. He added that he could not divulge the names of the investors yet.

Guerrero disclosed that he also recently met with local investors who expressed their intention to build a resort-casino in the town with 33 villages.

The mayor who won re-election said the “strategic location” of the town could also be the reason why foreign and local investors want to invest here. It’s between Subic and Clark Freeports.

Guerrero said the Subic Clark Tarlac Expressway (SCTEx) drastically cuts the travel time to and from the town to the two freeports.

Guerrro said he would aggressively push for more vital infrastructure projects to prepare the town for foreign and local investors.

“All the preparations and other projects are nothing if there are no developments in infrastructure,” said Guererro.

Guererro also expressed gratitude to Arroyo for the recent completion of the P140-million bridge which connects their town to Zambales and Bataan.
