    ANGELES CITY –
As they say, “the captains of the industry are moving gears again,” but this time at the Marquee Mall here for the grand launching of the Alviera, the partnership of Ayala Land, Inc. (ALI) with Leonio Land.

Industry captains Fernando Zobel de Ayala, ALI chairman and Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala, Ayala Corp. chairman as well as Leonardo Leonio, Leonio Land chairman and Mayor Condralito Dela Cruz of Porac, Pampanga were present at the Ayala-owned mall during the grand launchlast week.

On hand to entertain the jampacked mall were celebrity singer-songwriter Martin Nievera and highly acclaimed singer Regine Velasquez. But the guests and the mall crowd composed mostly of teenage fans shouted to a deafening noise as soon as The Voice Kids appeared on stage.

Alviera is a 1,100-hectare masterplanned community near the exit of the Subic- Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEx) in nearby Porac, Pampanga. The ambitious project, touted to create 5,000 new jobs as it begins its first phase of development, is envisioned to catapult Porac as the new growth center of Central Luzon and a major hub for commercial and business activity with its strategic location and seamless accessibility via the SCTEX and the North Luzon Expressway (NLEx).

It is also about five to 10 minutes away from the Clark International Airport and 30 minutes from the Subic Bay Freeport Zone. Phase one of the development is estimated to cost P8 billion for ALI and its partner in a span of over three years.

It will include a PEZA-registered industrial park, two satellite universities (Holy Angel University and Miriam College), residential communities and a country club. Over the next 20 years of its development, Alviera is expected to create a community with about 20,000 office and industrial workers, 65,000 residents and 20,000 students.

There will also be a mall, office buildings, hotel, hospital, transport terminal, and parks later in the development. All three ALI residential brands: Ayala Land Premier, Alveo Land and Avida Land will develop residential communities catering to a wide range of market at Alviera.

The Alviera Country Club will be built on an elevated area of a six-hectare property complete with swimming pools, sports facilities, wellness centers, function halls and restaurants. It will offer a great view of the Porac mountain range and the future Alviera town center.

Also present during the grand launch were Lawrence Leoncio, CEO of Leonio Land; Meean Dy, VP and Strategic Landbank Management Group Head Ayala Land; Clarissa Leonio-Asuncion, managing director Leonio Land; Bobby Dy, president and CEO Ayala Land; and Carlo Leonio, director Leonio Land.
