“From this figure, 239 families or 1,189 persons are currently being served in 13 evacuation centers in the towns of Dinalupihan and Mariveles in Bataan and Meycauayan City in Bulacan,” Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (RDRRMC) Chair Josefina Timoteo said.
RDRRMC reported 1.5-ft. flood in Almacen in Hermosa, Bataan while the San Isidro National Road in Mariveles town is submerged in 9-10-inch flood.
Timoteo said the Department of Health (DOH) prepositioned P274,699 worth of family kits, hygiene kits, water containers, drugs, medicines, and supplies in Bulacan and Zambales while P15 million worth of medicines, drugs, and logistics are on standby at their regional office in the City of San Fernando.
Earlier, DOH confirmed three deaths in Meycauayan City, including 75-year old Demitrio Ylasco and one-year old Irene Lumugho who were pinned to death by collapsed walls, and five-year old Aljon Lapitag Jr. who drowned.
Classes remained suspended yesterday in all levels in Bataan and the cities of Meycauayan, San Jose del Monte, Malolos, Mabalacat, Olongapo, and Tarlac.
Classes up to high school also remained suspended in the cities of Angeles and San Fernando.
