ANGELES CITY — The House of Representatives committee on basic education and culture has adopted four Resolutions filed by Pampanga 1st District Rep. Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. during their meeting on Feb. 10.

These are House Resolution No. 381 (Congratulating Aries Resultay Galang For Being Recognized As One Of The Outstanding Filipino Educators In The United Arab Emirates 2025 By The Filipino International Teachers’ Society), HR No. 412 (Congratulating The Angeles City Science High School Research Team For Winning The Gold Award At The Science Castle Asia 2025), HR No. 427 (Congratulating The Livingstone International School Nexus Robotics Team For Winning The Platinum Award In The Senior Division Idea Contest), and HR No. 429 (Congratulating Kean Mattieu Aguilar For Winning Gold Medals In The Philippine International Mathematical Olympiad Final Round And The Thailand International Mathematical Olympiad).

“Nag-file tayo ng mga resolution na ito para bigyang pagkilala ang ating mga kababayan na nagdala ng karangalan sa ating bansa sa iba’t ibang larangan,” Lazatin said.

In November 2025, Lazatin awarded some of the individuals named in the resolutions with certificates of recognition and cash incentives straight from his own pocket, including the members of the Nexus Robotics Team, Mira Preshuce Valentin, Tatianna Alysse Llanos Dee, Sean Joseph Liangco, Liam Jibriel Cubacub, and Mateo Sebastian Dulatre; and the ACSCI Research Team, Matthew Sardeng, Reatriz Escarro, and Althea Ramos.

On Feb. 4, Lazatin also filed HR No. 734 congratulating Adam Delos Reyes of Barangay Pandan, Angeles City for bagging the silver and bronze medals in the 6th Asian Open Schools Invitational (AOSI) Aquatics Championship that was held from Jan. 29 to Feb. 1 in Thailand.

Seven-year-old Delos Reyes, who is currently a 2nd Grade Student at Living Stone International School, competed in the 50-meter backstroke and 4×50 medley relay, where he won the silver and bronze medals, respectively. Team Lazatin Media
