TARLAC CITY – Hotel Sogo, one of the largest hotel chains in the country, opened its 27th branch here on Friday.
Mayor Gelacio Manalang and actress Iwa Moto graced the grand launch of the 95-room hotel along McArthur Highway.
It is a few meters away from SM City Tarlac, said Hotel Sogo Chief Operating Officer Gus Corpus. A motorcade in the city led Branch Manager Mar De Jesus capped the launching of the hotel known for its budget-friendly rates.
Rey Malaca, Hotel Sogo sector head, disclosed that they will also launch their branch in Pasig City, Metro Manila this week.
Malaca said construction is going on for their branches at Cagayan De Oro City, Naga City, Lipa City and Sta. Rosa in Laguna.
Hotel Sogo has four branches in Central Luzon, two of which are in Pampanga – Dau, Mabalacat and City of San Fernando. The others are in Cabanatuan City and Tarlac City.
Eurotel, which has six operating branches in the country, is a sister company of Hotel Sogo. Eurotel has a branch in Baguio City.
