CABANATUAN CITY – A lady security guard was awarded last week for her exemplary performance when she caused the arrest of two guards for reportedly stealing goods amounting to about P40,000 at the CVC Mall, San Miguel, Bulacan last Nov. 20.

Erlinda Flores, 43, received the award during the Philippine Association of Detective and Protective Agency Operators Inc.(PADPAO) first induction of officers held at Lakewood Golf and Club.

Flores’ investigation led to the arrest of suspects as Anthony Fuentes and Edwin Ignacio.

Meanwhile, PADPAO also awarded Daniel Bautista, a company guard of the Cabanatuan Electric Corp. He was given citations for immediately returning a bag owned by a student of Araullo University that contained cash money and valuables.

Dr. Joselito Cruz, PADPAO President, said the recognition aims to highlight the honesty shown by the guards.

“We are just lucky that we have LG Flores and Bautista who are honest and brave” Cruz said.

Cruz who also owns TekForce said Flores called the attention of police authorities upon confirming that Fuentes and Ignacio were sneaking the goods. “She was brave enough,” Cruz said.

Meanwhile, Cruz alerted his fellow security agency operators to be careful in hiring security guards for their clients.
