MANILA – “A most formidable woman leader in the Philippines in the health and holistic medicine business and practice.”

Thus, the World Women Leadership Congress cited Riza Shanti Lim, holistic medicine healer and wellness columnist of Punto! in awarding ceremonies organized by CMO Asia at the at Dusit Thani, Makati last June 7. 

Three layers of international panelists sifted through 300 nominees to come out with 30 finalists for the various awards.

Riza Shanti Lim is a formidable figure in the wellness industry. She attributes her success in holistic medicine practice to her treasured mother who suffered from cancer.

A lifelong learner with healing methods of excellence, Riza acquired a degree as a holistic medicine healer in NHIN (Natural Healing Institute of Naturopathy) in San Diego, California, USA and attended courses on the subject of mental health at Harvard Medical School, USA. She received her honorable teacher certification in yoga and mindfulness in India.

Riza is known for her extraordinary gift of deep transformative healing in the mind, body, and emotions. Her ability to release wholeness and life to those unwell gained her the title “Doctor Soul.” Her compassionate, gentle and warm nature is the backbone to everything she does.

Aside from her philanthropic work in the Philippines, Riza travels around the world offering free holistic healing, yoga and mindfulness workshops in schools, organizations and different communities. Her work stretches throughout India, Nepal, Japan, Italy, Denmark, and the USA.

Not only is she a distinguished writer of a weekly column called Holistic Living but she also authored the book “Kimut – Move to Heal.” Riza is also a generous supporter of the Center for Abused Children and Tuloy Foundation for street kids.

During the pandemic, Riza started Orissa & Friends’ “Pan de Soul,” serving healthy buns she personally concocted. As a nutritionist, Riza understands the need for healthy eating and so many of her programs reach impoverished populations in the Philippines along with regular community feeding programs. She has given food to 25,000 families and the feeding program still continues.

Riza understands the need to empower women and life coaches who suffer from depression and mental health issues especially during the pandemic. Her strength and grace give people hope and offer a new way of life.

Riza is the founder, sole owner, holistic medicine healer of Orissa Garden of Wellness at the slope of Mount Arayat in Magalang, Pampanga. Love, peace, kindness and compassion is her way of life.

Every Sunday, Orissa is blooming with children’s laughter and joy as they attend her charity healing for children. The little ones feel ever so safe in her presence and they leave giving her big hugs.
