IBA, Zambales — A member of the Ramat Drug Group and listed as high value individual in the police watchlist was arrested by elements of the provincial police in Castillejos town on Monday.
Zambales police director Col. Romano Velayo Cardiño identified the suspect as Jimmy Aglibot y Nipay, 55, of Purok 4, Barangay San Pablo, Castillejos.
In his report to the ZPPO, acting Castillejos chief of police Major Richard Fortaleza said that the joint elements of the town police led by Lt. William Bimmoy and operatives of the provincial police drug enforcement and intelligence units, and 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company arrested the suspect at about 5 p.m. at his area of residence.
Fortaleza said the police operation was conducted after they received an information of the hiding place of the suspect who eluded arrest in a buy-bust operation in Castillejos last Aug. 23, 2021.
Report said the suspect was listed among the top most wanted persons in the whole of Zambales.
Aglibot was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Judge Richard A. Paradeza of RTC Branch 72 Olongapo City for violation of Section 5 in relation to Section 26 (b) Article II of RA 9165 under CC No. 2021-1265 dated Sept. 9, 2021 with no bail recommended.
The suspect is now locked up in jail at Castillejos MPS.
Cardiño said the continuous arrest of wanted persons is also anchored on the Intensified Cleanliness Policy of PNP chief Gen. Guillermo Lorenzo T. Eleazar.
