CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Some P2.7-million worth of suspected shabu were seized during the arrest of a high-value drug suspect in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Pampanga police in Barangay San Jose, Magalang town, late Feb. 4 evening.
“This operation marks the largest drug seizure in Pampanga this year so far, a clear message that we are relentless in our fight against illegal drugs,” said Pampanga police director Col. Jay C. Dimaandal.
Police identified the suspect as a 30-year-old male from Angono, Rizal. He was apprehended, during an anti-illegal drug operation led by the Magalang Municipal Police Station’s Drug Enforcement Unit in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 3.
During the buy-bust, law enforcers seized approximately 410 grams of suspected shabu, valued at P2,788,000.00. The suspect was immediately placed under police custody and brought to the Magalang MPS for proper documentation. Charges against the suspect for violations of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) are being prepared, police said.
