ANGELES CITY — It’s not all shutdowns, permanent or temporary, in the food scene here, even with the pandemic still surging.
Covid or not, there’s no stopping Herry’s Bistro from opening to a kind of gustatory chill and thrill with a formal blessing over the weekend. Give it to men with balls who take the plunge, so to speak — Herry’s Bistro owners chefs Harold Punsalan, Jose Adrian Garcia, and Engr. Fernando Chua
“My friend suggested the name Herry’s Bistro as it is a combination of our names. So, what I did was, I played with the logo to capture what was coined from our names,” said Punsalan.
“We’ve already expected the Covid situation, that’s why we still went for it since it’s already here,” Garcia added. “Of course, there are adjustments. We decided to have a two-person-per-table standard guideline for the physical distancing measures. We can accommodate about 40 pax at a time.”
With the strategically placement of the tablesthroughout the area, Punsalan said anyone can still enjoy their time to dine in and hangout at the bistro. Log sheets for contact tracing, hand sanitizers, and the “no face mask, no entry” policy are also implemented.
Herry’s Bistro serves an array of Filipino dishes including off-the-grills and special in-house pizza paired great with their selection of booze from beer, soju, and hard liquor.
Punsalan also said the food served at the bistro is heavily influenced by dishes cooked at home. Their specialties and best sellers include mixed seafoods, lechon pork belly with homemade vinaigrette, fried lumpia, and kalderetang kambing.
Herry’s Bistro is open everyday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. for dine in, take out, and pick-up orders. For table reservations and advanced orders, you may send a message through their official Facebook page or at 09989711976.
