HERMOSA, Bataan — The police station here was awarded by the Philippine National Police as best municipal police station in Central Luzon during the celebration of the 122nd Police Service Anniversary on Sept. 13 in Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
PNP chief General Benjamin Acorda, Jr. handed the award to Major Ernesto Esguerra, Hermosa police chief.
The Hermosa MPS bagged the award based on the station’s performance in various aspects such as crime prevention, solution and community relations.
It was commended for its effective implementation of community-oriented policing system and close coordination with local government units, barangay officials and other stakeholders, as well as its successful anti-illegal drug and criminality operations.
Col. Palmer Tria, Bataan police director, said the achievement of the Hermosa MPS is a testament to the PNP’s commitment to promote excellence in law enforcement and to provide quality service to the people.
Hermosa Mayor Jopet Inton congratulated the men and women of the police station.
