Henson hails PhilSys center

ITY OF SAN FERNANDO The provision to every Filipino of a single national identity card that can be used in all transactions with agencies of government, that will also institutionalize an orderly and organized way of delivering other government services and programs.

Thus, hailed 3rd District board member Rosve V. Henson of the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) during the opening of its new registration center at Robinson Starmills here on Thursday.

Henson noted that the newest facility is actually the 23rd PhilSys registration center in Pampanga.

By virtue of Republic Act 1105 or the Philippine Identification Act signed by President Duterte in 2018, PhilSys aims to provide Filipinos a single official national ID card good in transactions with all government instrumentalities.

In his remarks at the opening rites, Henson also lauded Land Bank of the Philippines for its pivotal role in the implementation of RA 1105, as every Filipino registered with PhilSys will automatically have an account with the said bank used primarily as conduit in governments delivery of assistance to the individual.

Along with Henson, Pampanga 3rd District Rep. Aurelio Gonzales, Jr., PSA OIC Arlene Divino, Landbank Pampanga branch manager Roel Samia, and National Economic and Development Authority regional director Agustin Mendoza led the opening of the PhilSys center.
