The celebration of Heart Month and Valentine’s Day came early in Angeles City as heart-shaped lanterns with the message “Love One Another” have already been put up by the city government along the Abacan Bridge on January 17, 2022.
The Valentine’s lanterns and lights now shine along the areas as a way of celebrating the Love Month of February in the midst of the raging Covid-19 pandemic.
With still 28 days before Valentine’s Day, Angeleños can begin to feel the season of hearts here as brilliant displays of lights began lighting up the streets.
Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. said “We should liven up the city’s streets by always sharing light and love to all Angeleños” amid the ongoing health crisis.
“Kung patuloy nating paiiralin ang pagmamahal at pagmamalasakit sa kapwa sa pamamagitan ng pagsunod sa mga health protocols, tuluyan nating malalagpasan itong Covid-19,” Lazatin said.
“Ngunit lagi nating tatandaan, hindi lang sa panahon ng pandemya dapat pairalin ang pagmamahalan – dahil araw-araw ay araw ng pagmamahalan,” he added.
