“AFTER YOUR graduation, gamitin niyo ang puso ninyo at pinag-aralan para mas makatulong sa inyong mga pamilya.”

So, Gov. Lilia G. Pineda exhorted 1,407 scholars of the provincial government during the distribution of some P7 million under its Educational Financial Assistance Program.

No return of favor to the government, all payback to their families and communities, the governor did not have to emphasize there.

The priority given to the Kapampangan youth by the Pineda administration since Day One has been rationalized by the governor herself as “as an insurance for the bright future of Pampanga.”

“We empower the youth today with all the opportunities for their growth, especially through education, to enable them not only to cope with, but to excel in meeting all challenges and developments in the future,” Pineda is wont to say.

Furthered the governor: Keeping the youth in school is likewise one “very effective way” to take them off the menace of drugs and other vices.

Indeed, as much for the intellect as for the physical health of the Kapampangan youth is the Pineda Capitol focused.

Also last week, 1,900 day-care children went all smiles with fluoride application and dental kits by the Diosdado P. Macapagal Memorial Hospital in Guagua town.

“We are doing this for eight years already with the guidance of Governor Pineda and Vice Gov. Dennis ‘Delta’ Pineda. It is also part of the social responsibility of DPMMH to the people of Guagua as the district hospital is situated in this town,” said Dr. Joseline Mascarinas-Ponio, the hospital’s ancillary department chief.

Outreach medical-dental services for the youth in all towns, with corresponding programs in the province’s 10 other district hospitals has been institutionalized by the Pineda administration since coming to power in 2010.

With the caring, compassionate Nanay at the Capitol, Pampanga can only be one happy place for children.
