BALER, Aurora (PIA) — “Handog ng Pangulo: Serbisyong Sapat para sa Lahat” brought government services closer to about 1,000 individuals from Aurora’s vulnerable sector, ensuring that disadvantaged families gained access to essential support.

Lawrence Manguna Sr., chieftain of the Igorot community in Baler, is among the thousands who lined up to avail of the services and benefit from the nationwide caravan.

He expressed his gratitude, saying that the caravan allowed their community and other vulnerable groups to directly feel the government’s care through services that respond to their everyday needs.

“We sincerely thank the President for this program because it truly reaches our community. As part of the Indigenous Peoples, we are happy to feel the government’s presence and support,” Manguna said.

During the service caravan, families received livelihood and financial payouts while the Department of Education (DepEd) distributed EduKahon packages.

The Department of Agriculture, on the other hand, turned over fertilizers, fuel, seedlings, five multi cultivators, and 15 deep wells to boost agricultural productivity.

Communities likewise benefited from consultations and health packages delivered by medical personnel, obtained learning kits, and received support for local associations, ensuring broader access to essential government programs.

DepEd Secretary Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara conveyed the President’s message, emphasizing that the government’s true mission is to ensure its services are felt in every barangay, community, and household.

He said the nationwide “Handog ng Pangulo: Serbisyong Sapat para sa Lahat” caravan showcased the presence of various agencies as a gesture of gratitude for the people’s daily efforts in supporting their families and communities.

“Lagi po ninyang paalala sa amin, ang maglingkod ay isang pribilehiyo. Ito ang inspirasyon ng bawat lingkod-bayan upang patuloy na magsumikap para sa kapakanan ng bawat Pilipino,” he added.

Meanwhile, Aurora Governor Reynante Tolentino welcomed the caravan and commended the President for the steady support being extended to the province.

“Sa minamahal na Pangulong Bongbong Marcos Jr.  taos pusong pasasalamat bilang Ama ng lalawigan sa walang sawang pagbibigay ng tulong sa mamayan ng Aurora, makakaasa kayo na ang inyong serbisyong  handog na pamahalan ay makakarating sa publiko”, Tolentino added.

The “Handog ng Pangulo: Serbisyong Sapat para sa Lahat” caravan underscores the administration’s commitment to inclusivity by ensuring that vulnerable and remote sectors gain access to programs that uplift their welfare.

Through this initiative, the government strengthens its partnership with the people in building a more resilient and empowered society under the Bagong Pilipinas vision. (CLJD/MJRD, PIA Region 3-Aurora)
