CLARK FREEPORT — In a bid to promote this freeport, the Clark Development Corp. (CDC) is holding its first “grand fiesta,” to be highlighted by a “festival run” on Nov. 16 and 17.
The fun run, to be held in coordination with the Clark Investors and Locators Association (CILA), “is open to all enthusiasts, including the employees and families of personnel in the entire freeport,” the CDC said.
CILA President Rene Banzon said the fun run will include three-kilometer beginner’s run, a five-kilometer run for novices, a 10-kilometer open run and one-kilometer run for children 11 years old and below. Banzon said the run starts at exactly 6 a.m. at the flagpole of the CDC offices.
“Medals and gift certificates will be given to winners of each category including a separate category for locators in a five-kilometer run. Raffl e prizes will also be given out,” he added.
He also said part of the proceeds will go to CILA’s public school feeding program for undernourished children.
Meanwhile, CDC public relations manager Angelo Lopez, Jr. said other events have also been lined up for the two-day grand fiesta.
He said some investors here will be selling some of their export-quality products during the fiesta.
