CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda expressed gratitude to OFW Partylist, led by Representative Marissa “Del Mar” Magsino, for its extensive support to the vulnerable sectors in the province.
A total of 479 barangay volunteers in Apalit received financial assistance through the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), with each one receiving P3,000.
On her behalf, Magsino’s son, Partylist’s Chairman Raymond Adriano, facilitated the distribution of assistance together with Governor Delta, Apalit Mayor Jun Tetangco, Vice-Mayor Peter Nucom, Special Assistant to the Governor / PDRRM Chief Angelina Blanco, and other DSWD officials.
In Arayat, 379 beneficiaries of the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) underwent briefings with officials from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) before starting their 10-day emergency work period with support from the partylist. The briefing was conducted together with Arayat Mayor Maria Lourdes Alejandrino and Vice Mayor Emmanuel Alejandrino.
Beneficiaries also thanked the partylist for its continued assistance to the Kapampangans.
Kaya malaking bagay po ito sa amin,” said Thelma Villacorta, one of the AICS Program beneficiaries.
In addition to this assistance, the provincial government also distributed food packs to all beneficiaries.
OFW Partylist represents the voice of the people in Congress, advocating for the rights and welfare of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) and their families. The partylist also provides assistance to vulnerable populations in the country.
