TARLAC Governor Susan Yap led the Central Luzon delegates to a trade mission to South Korea last November 6-8 where they visited the different parts of the country to learn more of their agricultural technologies and how to adapt their best practices of their smart and green cities.
The delegation first visited Daedong Seoul Headquarters for a company presentation on modern agricultural machineries and utility vehicles, electric bikes and smart farm and also paid a courtesy visit to Daejin University Chairman Eun-do Yun and Mayor Kim Dong-Geun of Uijeongbo City.
Gov. Yap went to see the Philippines’ booth at Seafood Expo in Busan with Agriculture Attache’, Aleli Maghirang. They similarly visited Posco Incheon Free Port with the Central Luzon Growth Corridor Foundation, Inc. (CLGCFI) delegates to benchmark their best practices as a smart and green city for possible replication in Central Luzon
“We have embarked on promoting Central Luzon, particularly Tarlac, as a new growth corridor for various development infrastructure, tourism, agriculture, business, and many more,” Gov. Yap said adding, “Glad to share that we have finally penetrated the South Korean market and have already exported some of our agricultural products.”
She likewise commended the cooperation and support of Ambassador to South Korea Maria Theresa Dizon-De Vega and Department of Trade and Industry Under Secretary Ceferino Rodolfo.
