BALANGA CITY — Although there are continuous reports of recoveries from the coronavirus disease in Bataan, Gov. Albert Garcia on Tuesday clarified that no portion of the province can yet be declared free from Covid19.

He said that latest report from the provincial health office showed that the number of patients who recovered from the virus rose to 123, many of them frontliners residing in different areas in Bataan.

The province has 11 towns and one city and records indicated that all have their share of confirmed Covid19 cases although in some areas all have reportedly recovered.

Garcia said that the provincial government has started expanded testing, especially among frontliners and suspect cases. He added that they are also waiting for the test result of 284 individuals who were among those subjected to laboratory exam.

“Contact tracing and monitoring of probable and suspect cases are ongoing,” the governor said.

He reminded everyone that although the province is already under modified enhanced community quarantine, no one should be complacent as the whole province is still under quarantine.

He asked for the continuous understanding and cooperation of his constituents to be successful in fighting off the pandemic.
