BALANGA City: Dengue cases in Bataan has increased by almost 600 percent as of January and February of 2025  compared to last year.

Gov. Jose Enrique Garcia 3rd on Wednesday described the situation as alarming and asked the help of everyone.

The governor said that on the average in the whole province in 2024,  there were only one to four cases per town but this year for the months of January and February only, there are already towns with 10, 20 to  30 cases.

He said that health officials explained that there is a cycle of dengue becoming aggressive every four years.

He said that the rise  in dengue cases should be contained.

He said that thank God there was no report of death yet from dengue but he considers the  situation as alarming considering that for the first two months only of 2025, cases have  risen by 600% and we still have 10 months. (30
