Good Neighbors Philippines, UNICEF Philippines making disaster risk reduction program more inclusive and child-centered

November 22, 2023 (San Fernando, Pampanga) – Good Neighbors International Philippines (GNIP), in partnership with UNICEF Philippines, proudly announces the unveiling of the  Inclusive Child-Centered Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (ICDRRM) Module and Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Materials.

The unveiling of the project’s Module and IEC Materials will be held on November 30, 2023, at SM Telabastagan in San Fernando, Pampanga from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. These facets of the project emphasize the crucial information on inclusivity and disaster risk reduction through different mediums – Module, Poster, Brochure, Flyer, Comics, and Videos.

In celebration of the National Children’s Month, this launching event shows the project’s commitment to the welfare of children in the Philippines. Additionally, this also celebrates the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, observed globally every 3rd of December, further emphasizing the importance of inclusivity of the project.

The ICDRRM project represents a significant step toward building resilience and safeguarding the well-being of vulnerable children in the face of disasters. By addressing the challenges faced by children with disabilities and indigenous children, the project seeks to create an inclusive and supportive environment that prioritizes the safety and protection of every child.

Members of the media, stakeholders, government officials, and the public are invited to join this momentous occasion at SM Telebastagan on November 30, 2023, to witness the unveiling of the ICDRRM Module and IEC Materials.
