CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Third District Rep. Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales will establish in January a clinic at his district office here aimed at providing free basic medical check-up.
Gonzales dubbed his clinic “sweet lover” because it will focus on check-up for diabetic patients and those with heart ailments. He bared his project to Punto as he distributed Holiday gifts to patients at the Dialysis Center of Mt. Carmel Hospital last week.
“Even those without ailments will benefit because every now and then we need to check our sugar and basic blood chemistry,” said Gonzales.
“As for those who are sick, getting free medical check-up eases the burden of spending to improve one’s health,” added the two-term solon.
Gonzales said doctors and nurses will hold office at the clinic at least twice a week. Results of their tests will be released on the same day or the following day depending on the number of patients.
Gonzales said he had prioritized health care service to his constituents in this city, Arayat, Mexico, Sta. Ana and Bacolor. Earlier, Gonzales had provided free dialysis session at Mt. Carmel.
Jerry Quiros of Barangay Telabastagan, here, said “the projects of Dong are really needed especially in these hard times.”
“We really feel the services of Congressman Gonzales as health care service should be a priority,” said Quiros.
