Ties that Travel owner Gilda L. Padua and Omega Travel operator Aurora Augustin, who partnered for Go Clark Tours Co. Ltd. (Go Tours), were on hand in the media tour on Friday conducted by accomplished tour-guide Cathy Forren.
For a start, a guided tour of the Clark Museum was conducted followed by a short film viewing at the Clark 4D Theater entitled: “Risen from the Ashes.”
The media were then given a rolling tour on board a brand new Genesis Transit bus of the nearby Parade Grounds, Barn Houses, CDC Offices, Historical Buildings, the Presidential Mansion or White House, the ongoing construction of the ASEAN Village, Bicentennial Park, Korea Country Club, the soon to open Aqua Planet, The Villages, the Industrial Complex and Commercial Area, K9 Cemetery, Lilly Hill area and finally at the Deco Central Showroom. Padua said the tour will culminate with a buffet-lunch at either the Matam-Ih Restaurant or Amante Restaurant at the Riding Stables and Picnic Grounds.
Padua said, “there’s nothing to off er by the hotels and they call us every now and then and asked us… so in order to address this issue we came up with a brand Go Tours and we developed a Clark city tour… so in the meantime, that’s our first product.”
Padua said Go Tours already have partner hotels in this freeport like Fontana Leisure Parks, Midori Hotel and Casino, Widus Hotel and Casino, Quest Hotel, Park Inn Hotel by Radisson, Royce Hotel, Hotel Stotsenberg and Xenia Hotel.
Agustin said Go Tours will eventually be launching the Angeles City tour, Pampanga countryside tour and a Subic tour. She said optional tours will also be offered soon which will include the Puning Hot Springs, Mt. Pinatubo tours and even an excursion to Baler, Aurora and Hundred Island in Alaminos, Pangasinan. Padua said Go Tours is also planning special interest tours like visiting seven Churches and seasonal tours like the Giant Lanterns Festival in the City of San Fernando and Binulo Festival in Porac. “We joined together to collaborate, develop products, and operate the tours. It’s a bit difficult because there’s a huge investment not just money but time,” she said.
“We develop the product and we validate it through the help of tourism officers and we simulate it by doing a time and motion study and look out for the safety and security of our guests. So that’s the assurance we can give to our guests,” Padua said.
