QUEZON, Nueva Ecija – Sen. Bong Go on Thursday urged members of the House of Representatives to get back to work as the government fell short of its 2023 growth target.

Go said when asked to comment about the missed six to seven percent GDP.

Go, along with Nueva Ecija 1st District Rep. Mika Suansing and Mayor Mariano Cristino Joson of this town, led the inauguration of this town’s legislative building.

The senator said the efforts to amend the 1987 Constitution via People’s Initiative has become divisive.

“Dapat po’y magtrabaho na tayo. Nananawagan po ako sa ating mga kababayan, sa ating mga kasamahan sa Kongreso let’s go back to work,” the senator said.

Prioritizing politics will make the poor suffer, he noted.

He maintained that senators are opposed to both houses voting jointly as this will leave them insignificant as they are outnumbered.

The senators, he underscored, were elected nationally.
