    PHILIPPINES, dear Philippines
    Land of my brethren Christian, Muslims;
    In thy heart with fervor burning
    Thee do, our souls kept adoring.

    Philippines, land to us dearest
    How sweet to lie in thy embrace;
    But when thou art wronged by invaders,
    Death is heaven for all thy dear sake.

    For us thy sons, brethren by blood
    Where love partakes with joy and light
    Against brother by faith in God,
    And of culture, bloodshed is right?

    Brother to brethren, we fought
    Life is being wasted at no worth
    But for nothing – and what it brought
    Certainly, unrest comes to worst.

    Should we let these always happened
    To our own loving brethren?
    And see Motherland cries in pain
    Grieving over sons’ bitter end?

    Let us give peace a better chance
    To stay deep in our hearts and hands
    But shall never see vile tyrants
    Darken thy stars and sun’s brilliance.

    And being sovereign country
    That preserves peace and liberty,
    Thy banner that for victory
    Raise it aloft – at stains free.

    Up, in thy bright skies of blue
    Don’t let a cloud strikes anew,
    With all our might – then we have to
    Be another unsung hero!
