OLONGAPO CITY – A German national and his live-in partner facing several cases of estafa was arrested by joint elements of the Zambales Criminal Investigation and Detection Team (ZCIDT) and City Intelligence Unit (CIU) of the Olongapo City PNP, Thursday morning.
ZCIDT Provincial Officer, Chief Supt. Rogelio Peñones, Jr., identified the suspects as Robert Fuessel, 50, German national and Aurea Gascon, 39, both residents of Sangley Loop, West Kalayaan, Subic Freeport.
Reports said that at about 3:30 p.m., PO3 Melquiades Ombao, PO2 Ulysses Serna of ZCIDT and PO2 Ryan Manalang of CIU arrested the suspects in Barangay Bajac-Bajac by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Richard Paradeza of RTC Branch 72 for the crime of estafa under Article 315 paragraph 2 (d) of the Revised Penal Code (RPC).
Reports added that several cases of estafa have been filed in court against the suspects and had just come out of a court hearing when apprehended.
“Itong mga suspek na-ispatan ng ating mga pulis, na kagagaling lamang sa court hearing nang sila ay hulihin dahil sa tuwing pinupuntahan ito sa kanilang tinitirhan ay laging nagtatago kung kaya hindi sila mahuli”., said Peñones.
The suspects are now detained at the ZCIDT detention cell with corresponding bail of P60,000 each for their temporary liberty.
