Tarlac CIDG provincial officer Chief Inspector Angelo Nicolas identified the suspects as Samuel Salac, 48, married, of Barangay San Roque, La Paz town; Rommel Calimlim, 31, married, tricycle driver and Rahimar Amer, 37, businesswoman, married of Unit 1, Sitio Manga, Barangay Matatalaib, this city.
Nicolas disclosed that Salac is listed Number 1 among top drug personalities in the municipality of La Paz while Calimlim and Amer were involved in gunrunning and drug trafficking activities in the city.
Recovered from Salac were seven bullets for 9mm, one bullet for .38, one bullet for M-16 rifle, one holster for firearm, three sachets of suspected shabu, a digital weighing scale, an improvised bottle cap burner with cotton bud
inside, an aluminum foil, a pair of scissors, two disposable lighters, and 40 empty plastic sachet.
Seized from Calimlim and Amer were a 9mm pistol with serial number 1454261, a magazine and eight bulelts for 9mm and four grams of suspected shabu worth P10,000.
The three are now detained at the CIDG detention cell facing charges for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition and violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
