‘Galugad’ nets 16 suspects in CSF

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Six suspected drug pushers, one tagged as “Most Wanted,” and nine pandemic protocol violators were arrested in the most recent “Oplan Galugad” conducted by the city police headed by Lt. Col. John Lopez Clark. 

Joint elements of the station’s drug enforcement unit, Pampanga Highway Patrol Troops, 2nd provincial mobile force company of the Pampanga police office, city public order safety and coordinating office, and barangay officials arrested six individuals in Barangay Quebiawan on May 29, 2021, for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.

A total of 19 small-sized plastic sachets containing suspected shabu were confiscated from the suspects.

During the same operation, nine persons were apprehended for violating Section 2 of Provincial Executive Order 11-2021 or the Minimum Public Health Standards. The HPT also impounded one unregistered motorcycle and three unregistered motorcycles with sidecar for lack of legal documents.

Later that day, the CSFP police station conducted another operation in Barangay Telebastagan which led to the arrest of the city’s Most Wanted Person for Child Abuse penalized under Section 5 (b) of RA 7610, the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.

The suspect, Raymund Mendoza y Cunanan, 29, single, salesman and a resident of Barangay San Agustin, was nabbed by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Presiding Judge Adelaida Ala Medina of Regional Trial Court Branch 45 in the City of San Fernando under Criminal Case No. 2096 with P200,000 bail recommended.
