BALANGA CITY — From 53 active cases of the coronavirus disease registered on Saturday, the number surged to 73 the following day Sunday, a report from the provincial health office on Monday night showed.
Active cases were recorded in Balanga City (19), Limay (11), Mariveles (10), Dinalupihan (6), Samal (5), Pilar (5), Orani (4), Hermosa (4), Morong (3), Abucay (3), Orion (2), and Bagac (1).
This, after 21 new confirmed cases were added, causing the total number of those who tested positive of Covid-19 to climb to 29,582.
The new confirmed cases are nine from Balanga City, four from Mariveles, three from Limay, two from Morong, and one each from Hermosa, Orani, and Pilar.
Only one from Balanga City newly-recovered with all recoveries totaling 28,299. The number of casualties stayed at 1,210 after no new death was registered.
Gov. Albert Garcia continuously reminded his constituents to strictly observe safety protocols like washing of hands, wearing of facemask and face shield and to observe social distancing.
