CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Amid pomp and pageantry, Foton’s latest commercial vehicle – the View Traveller – was finally unveiled here on Friday.

The 15-seater van and Car Awards Group’s Best Van for 2013-2014 is a popular choice among small to medium enterprises and passenger shuttle operators.

The View Traveller is a joint venture with Cummins, makers of the biggest, most durable and reliable diesel motors in the world, according to Rommel Sytin, president of Foton Motor Philippines who also announced that Foton’s 11-hectare manufacturing plant at the Clark Freeport will soon be operational.

Allen C. Ong, president of Foton Pampanga, expressed optimism that the new Foton commercial vehicle will be a hit among Kapampangans. Branch Manager Edison Espinosa introduced some of the guests during the program led by Mayor Edwin “Edsa” Santiago and the faculty and staff of Sin Seng School.

The launch of the View Traveller was also an occasion to give a donation to the Sin Seng School. George Ong, chairman of Foton Pampanga, was profuse in thanking Sytin for donating a Foton View van worth P880,000 to the school.

Sytin said education is a “primary advocacy in the corporate social responsibility” of Foton Philippines and thus, the donation of the van, which will used by the faculty and staff of the Chinese school here.

The View Traveller distinguishes itself from other vans in its class with a new body built on an entirely new platform as well as a worldclass engine from technical partner Cummins.
