CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Over 1,000 residents of Pampanga received free laboratory tests, consultations, and medicines during the launch of the “Laboratoryo, Konsulta, at Gamot para sa Lahat” (Lab for All) caravan on Tuesday, June 20, 2023.

Leading the “Lab for All” caravan in Pampanga was First Lady Marie Louise “Liza” Araneta-Marcos, along with Pampanga Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, various national government secretaries, and other officials. The event took place at the Bren Z Guiao Convention Center.

The “Lab for All” caravan is an initiative by the First Lady in collaboration with the Department of Health (DOH), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), and the Provincial Government of Pampanga.

According to the First Lady, the “Lab for All” caravan represents the Marcos Administration’s commitment to providing accessible primary care services to the people.

“Pinaparating po ng asawa ko, his administration raises great importance to your health and well-being. This is in keeping with what he promised during his SONA last year. Sabi po niya, we must bring closer the medical services to the people and not wait for them to come to the hospitals and health centers. So. I’m here today, to help the president fulfill his promise. Sa awa po ng diyos, nasimulan po natin ang Lab for all project. And in the past few months we were able to visit some provinces around the country,” the First lady shared

According to the DOH, Pampanga is among the early beneficiaries of this medical mission in Central Luzon.

“Normally, ang tao pupunta po sa doctor bibigyan ng request, papagawa niya yung request. Tapos babalik sa doctor, tapos reresetahan siya. Dito, isang umaga lang tapos na. Gawa na yung mga test, may libreng gamot po sila,” said Health Secretary Teodoro Herbosa.

Governor Delta expressed his gratitude to the First Lady for prioritizing the Kapampangans in the program.

“Nagpapasalamat po ako sa ating first lady na napili po yung Pampanga for the Lab for All caravan. Asahan niyo po, na itong programa pong ito ay itutuloy po namin sa probinsya ng Pampanga. Tututukan natin ang mga sakit ng mga Kapampangan. Aagapan na po natin kaagad bago pa lumala,” he said.

In addition to free consultations and medicines, the beneficiaries also received food packs.
