BALANGA CITY — Flash floods caused by heavy rains due to habagat triggered by Typhoon Goring hit four barangays in three towns while mudslide affected 10 families with two injured in another town in Bataan Sunday, August 27.
In its 6 p.m report to Gov. Jose Enrique Garcia 3rd, the provincial disaster risk reduction management office listed Barangay Townsite in Limay with one-foot floodwaters while Barangays Townsite and Balon Anito in Mariveles and Barangay Ibis in Bagac, all with two-foot-deep floods.
The report showed that floodwaters began to subside at 5:30 in the afternoon of Sunday.
In Barangay Daan Pare in Orion, two were injured from 10 families of 30 individuals affected by the mudslide that occurred in the morning of Sunday.
PDRRMO said the injured were being monitored for possible confinement in a hospital in Orion.
Members of the Orion municipal police station, the Bureau of Fire Protection, and the municipal disaster risk reduction management office conducted search and rescue operations upon receiving report of the landslide.
