ANGELES CITY — A US-born Filipino of Kapampangan descent who has been modelling in New York for the past year has finally found his niche here in the Philippines.

Six-foot-two hunk, Marneil Anthony Lim, 23, born in San Francisco, USA and a graduate of Health Science Occupational Therapy at the County College of Morris (CCM) in Morris County, New Jersey was a Nike/Jordan commercial and print model under the auspices of the New York Model Management (MMG) until he was discovered by RECO Modeling Agency Philippines where he signed an exclusive contract.

Now in the Philippines after appearing for the Cosmopolitan Magazine Philippines’ annual Bachelor Bash on Sept 24 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City, Lim is back in this city where he traces his roots.

Lim’s mother is a Kapampangan who hails from Barangay Pampang here. His father, also a Filipino, is a US Air Force serviceman, which explains why Lim has travelled all over Asia and the USA. During a press conference at the Fortune Restaurant here last Friday, Lim gamely answered questions from reporters.

Lim, who also modeled for Abercrombie & Fitch and was a top store male model for Hollister, was also a mainstay of numerous Philippine Consulate shows. He was a fast-rising talent in Asia in NY and graced the New York Fashion Week and Couture Fashion Week.

Lim was also cast for Kenneth Cole, Tommy Hilfi ger, Adidas, Converse and the MTV among others.

In Philippine advertising, Lim appeared in the Philippine Fashion Week 2013, Penshoppe, Bench, Lee Cooper, AZUR, Sony, as well as in menswear by Odelon Simpao, Jeffrey Rogador, Drei Soriano, Anthony Nocom and Melchor Guinto.

Lim mounted the ramp with 69 of the Philippines’ hottest bachelors by walking down the runway in the event dubbed as Manila’s biggest bachelorette party, the Cosmopolitan Bachelor Bash 2013, where Philippine top models and celebrities such as Rayver Cruz, Matteo Guidicelli, Aljur Abrenica, JC de Vera, Sam Concepcion, Dennis Trillo and Tom Rodriguez of “My Husband’s Lover” fame took the leads
