SAN NARCISO, Zambales – A father and his son were arrested by operatives of San Narciso Municipal Police Station for illegal possession of unlicensed firearms in Barangay La Paz here.
Another man was also arrested for the same gun charges and explosive too, in Sta. Cruz town.
San Narciso police chief Captain Noel Sitjar, in his report to Zambales Police Provincial Office (ZPPO), director Col. Ponce Rogelio Peñones, Jr., identified the suspects as Richard Santos y Angeles, aka “Mamoo,” and his son Richie Santos y Ayonke, aka “Richie Boy,” both residents of Purok 4, Granvia Street, Barangay La Paz.
The suspects were arrested by virtue of a search warrant issued by Executive Judge Marifi P. Chua of RTC Branch 70, Third Judicial Region, Iba Zambales for violation of RA 10591.
Recovered from suspects were one .38 revolver loaded with four live ammos and one empty shell ,and one converted .22 rifle.
The suspects are now facing charges for violation of Section 28, Article V of RA 10591.
Gun, grenade
In Sta. Cruz, joint elements of Sta. Cruz Police, 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company and 302nd Maritime Police Station arrested a man for possession of a firearm, ammunitions and explosive at Purok 6, Barangay San Fernando here.
Report reaching the office of Zambales Police provincial director Col. Ponce Rogelio Peñones, Jr., said operatives led by Police Major Randy A. Mendoza, head of Sta. Cruz PNP, and Police Major Virgilio M. Carodan of the 302nd Maritime Police Station, arrested the suspect identifi ed as Mark Hebron y Dunaytan, aka “Macmac,” 26, single, jobless, of Purok 6, Barangay San Fernando.
The suspect was arrested by virtue of Search Warrant No. 12 issued by 1st MCTC, Sta. Cruz-Candelaria, Zambales Judge Aida Theresita Basa- Diviva.
Confiscated from the suspect were one .38 revolver, five .38 live bullets, and one hand grenade.
The suspect is now now detained at Sta. Cruz police detention cell facing charges violation of RA10591(Illegal Possession of firearm & ammunitions) and illegal possession of explosive.
