STA CRUZ, ZAMBALES – My father is the rapist.
This was revealed by a 3-year old girl to the Zambales Women’s and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) when he identified his father who wore a bonnet to disguise himself in raping her at Sitio Malumbit, Barangay Tubo-Tubo North, this town Friday morning.
Zambales Police Provincial Office (ZPPO), Director, Sr. Supt. Rolando Felix said that the suspect left his children – the victim and his 9 year old son – to work at the farm at around 7 a.m.
The victim’s 9 year old brother told investigators that the suspect was wearing a bonnet when he entered their house and pointed a knife at him.
The suspect also told him to go outside the house. A few minutes past, Erick heard her sister crying and saw the suspect flee.
After allegedly raping, suspect brought the victim to the Ospital ng Sta. Cruz for medical check up.
Investigation conducted by PO2 Cynthia Bañez of WCPD and Mrs. Felicidad Tongson of Sta. Cruz Municipal Social Welfare and Development showed that based on the Medico Legal report, victim sustained old scars and hematomas showing that she had been previously molested.
Erick admitted to the police that he told another version of the incident during initial investigation because he was threatened by his father..
Suspect was locked up at Sta Cruz PNP detention cell facing charges violation of RA 7610 (Child Abuse Law).
