CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – None other than the best actor himself – unkabogable Vice Ganda – popped up to shrieks and shouts of moviegoers during the block screening of the 2025 Metro Manila Film Festival entry, Call Me Mother, at Cinema 2 of SM City Telabastagan on Jan 7.
The screening was hosted by Beautéderm president and CEO Rhea Anicoche Tan for Vice Ganda, her newest Beautéderm ambassador. Tan shared that this effort is part of her strong commitment and support to every Beautederm ambassador’s film entries and other relevant projects.
The two-time slot block screening paved the way to lucky fans and Beautederm supporters the chance to watch exclusively and get to meet and greet Vice Ganda who won the 2025 MMFF Best Actor award for the said movie which has crossed the ₱300 million mark at the local box office.
Attendees praised the “brilliance in acting” displayed by the cast, noting that the performances delivered a powerful emotional resonance that lingered long after the lights came up.
Tan herself was spotted crying during the screening, deeply affected by the story. Beyond promoting her endorsers, Tan emphasized that the annual tradition serves as a way to support the Filipino film industry while fostering a sense of community within her team.
Call Me Mother, directed by Jun Robles Lana, continues its strong run in cinemas and is scheduled for international release later this month.
