MARIVELES, Bataan — The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) opened the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) Fair here on Tuesday offering for sale goods mostly manufactured in the FAB combined with some local products.
AFAB administrator Mohammed Hussein Pangandaman and Mariveles Mayor Ace Jello Concepcion led in the ribbon-cutting ceremony after a parade made colorful by street dancing school children in different attractive costumes.
For sale are pillows and pillow cases, blankets, sportswear, basketballs, shoes, socks, beddings, curtains, perfumes, bags, T-shirts, jackets, pants, among some others.
It is expected that more companies will participate in the FAB fair. There are 95 multi-national firms operating in the Mariveles freeport, employing more than 38,000 workers.
After rounding the different stalls, the thirsty and hungry shoppers can proceed to the food court of the FAB Fair where they can order for coffee, tea, shawarma, goto, pares, Korean foods and other snacks.
Children, on the other hand, can try the inflatable playground.
