MARIVELES, Bataan – Land developer The Hausland Group and the Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan on Wednesday announced that the FAB Central Terminal here is now operational for commuters and travelers.
Hausland CEO lawyer Christopher Ryan Tan and AFAB administrator Engr. Emmanuel Pineda both made the announcement during the grand launch and blessing of the 4,500 square meter-terminal facility.
It is part of the 5.9-hectar property for a mixed-use development project in partnership between the Hausland Group and AFAB.
Tan said that the central terminal which is envisioned to be the central hub of Mariveles can accommodate various vehicles with two-zone allotment for tricycles, 11 slots for PUV/PUJ jeepneys, 16 slots for regular buses, and nine slots for mini buses.
The terminal will also house 30 commercial stalls and two restaurant facilities and can service 1,500 individuals every hour with provision for expansion. Tan said that they are making the facility available to both the transport and public sector.
FAB Central Terminal is the first project of Hausland in commercial property business development, being engaged in residential property development.
He said it was a dream come true of providing comfort and convenience to the riding public especially to thousands of workers employed at the FAB.
“Uunahin lamang natin ang central terminal pero ang kabuuan ng vision natin is to be able to develop this property as the nerve center of the FAB,” Tan noted.
Hausland chairman and president Wilfredo Tan said he was surprised that the terminal facility was ready when they had a groundbreaking only last February. He lauded the Hausland team as well as AFAB for the quick realization of the project, even as he thanked Hausland officials Mariano Tan and Jose Tan for permitting them to go on with the project that he said will help the masses to experience convenience and uplift their lives.
Bataan 3rd District Rep. Maria Angela Garcia described the transport sector as important and the central terminal of big help to the province and the commuters.
Vice Gov. Ma. Crisanta Garcia thanked Hausland for what she called as very important project: “Kapag may kaayusan ay hindi lang quality of life kundi magkakaroon din ng convenience ang ating mamamayan at mga workers dahil meron silang pupuntahan na central terminal na siguradong may maglilingkod sa kanila.”
“Kapag feeling good tayo, less ang stress natin sa buhay at siguradong ma-iimprove ang ating quality of life,” she added.
Mayor Ace Jello Concepcion said it could not be denied that the project of Hausland and AFAB will benefit the residents and workers in Mariveles.
“To make sure na hindi mahahamper ang operations dito sa transport terminal, walang flooding, walang anumang problema dahil tinambakan ito at ginawang napakaganda at truly it is a remarkable display of our commitment in pursuit of our dream, of our vision which we all cherish together,” the administrator said.
“With pride and gladness sa umagang ito, this facility is now declared operational,” Pineda announced.
Lourdes Monzon of the transport sector said it was their dream to have an orderly and beautiful terminal: “Kaming lahat ay taos-pusong nagpapasalamat na nagkaroon ng ganitong kagandang proyekto.”
