DINALUPIHAN, Bataan — An unidentified male suspect shot and killed a former drug surrenderee in Barangay San Ramon here Friday, police reported.
Lt. Col. Emelito M. Dela Cruz, Dinalupihan police chief, said Revani Paule, 40, resident of Barangay San Benito, Dinalupihan, died on the spot from several gunshot wounds.
The victim, the chief of police said, had undergone rehabilitation at the Bataan Drug Rehabilitation Center in Pilar town.
Investigation showed that Paule was inside a vacant lot owned by his uncle when the male suspect entered and shot him several times with a .45 pistol, hitting victim in different parts of the body that caused his instantaneous death, Dela Cruz said.
The suspect fled to an undisclosed place. Dela Cruz said investigation was still going on.
Meanwhile, Dela Cruz announced that the Dinalupihan police in coordination with the Angeles City police arrested a 39-year-old charged for violation of Section 11 of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
The accused from barangay New San Jose, Dinalupihan was subject of a warrant of arrest with P200,000 bail bond recommended.
Accused was undergoing documentation and the concerned court will be informed for the commitment order, Dela Cruz said.
