ANGELES CITY – The city tourism office is actively engaged with stakeholders and law enforcement agencies to ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for tourists exploring the city’s famed culinary scene.
Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II shared with Luzon International Premier Airport Development Corp. (LIPAD) president and CEO Noel Manankil during the latter’s courtesy visit at city hall on Tuesday.
Manankil in turn shared updates on the growth of the Clark International Airport which LIPAD operates and maintains, while citing the city’s commitment to visitor safety.
He said LIPAD is in talks with multiple local and international airlines to broaden Clark’s route network, aiming to increase weekly flight movements and boost accessibility for travelers. The airport is also attracting interest from express freight providers, signaling growth in cargo services alongside passenger traffic.
The Clark terminal is positioned as a gateway linking Central Luzon to the Philippines and the world, aligning with the city’s tourism goals.
Other developments cited by Manankil included SM City Clark check-in facility where passengers can check in before arriving at the airport, offering added convenience and its partnership with local entrepreneurs to support businesses and promote Kapampangan heritage.
Clark International Airport earned Level 1 accreditation from Airports Council International (ACI) for Customer Experience.
Clark International Airport’s expansion plans, coupled with Angeles City’s emphasis on safety and culinary excellence, aim to make the region a premier destination for both domestic and international travelers.
