MABALACAT CITY – Amid the heightened scrutiny on food safety, RMM Trading, a leading meat importer founded in 2009, is strongly reaffirming its commitment to stringent quality and safety standards.

From its modest start 15 years ago, the company has grown into a key player in the meat importation industry, sourcing pork, beef, and chicken from top global producers while rigorously ensuring compliance with both local and international regulations.

“Our commitment to quality starts at the source. We meticulously select our suppliers and ensure that every shipment meets rigorous safety standards,” said couple Gheric and Rizalyn Manaloto, founders of RMM Trading, underscoring the company’s steadfast commitment to quality as they import meat products from the United States, Canada, Brazil, and some parts of Europe.

Gheric furthered that RMM Trading works closely with regulatory bodies, including the National Meat Inspection Services (NMIS), to ensure compliance with stringent safety standards. “We work closely with various regulatory bodies, such as the NMIS, to ensure that our products are safe and meet all required standards.”

Despite challenges like fluctuating exchange rates and heightened competition, RMM Trading has maintained its high standards. The company has effectively navigated obstacles such as the African swine fever (ASF) by implementing proactive compliance measures.

“The ASF has posed significant challenges, but our proactive approach to compliance and safety has helped us maintain the highest standards of product integrity,” Manaloto said.

RMM Trading designs its robust importation and storage processes to preserve the quality of meat. The company utilizes reefer containers and adheres strictly to temperature controls to ensure optimal conditions for their products.

Looking ahead, RMM Trading aims to continue its expansion while upholding its core values of quality and safety.

“Our goal is to remain a leader in the industry by continuously improving our processes and ensuring that we meet the evolving needs of our clients,” Manaloto added.

As consumer awareness about food safety increases, RMM Trading’s dedication to maintaining high standards positions it as a benchmark in the meat importation sector.
