MANILA, Philippines – EY Global Delivery Services (EY GDS) Philippines has been recognized as one of the HR Asia Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2024. This prestigious accolade is awarded to companies that exemplify outstanding HR practices, demonstrate high levels of employee engagement and foster excellent workplace cultures.

“We are deeply honored to be named one of the Best Companies to Work for in Asia again,” said Nitin Dhavale, EY GDS Philippines Location Leader. “This recognition solidifies the EY GDS commitment to fostering a dynamic, inclusive and rewarding work environment where employees are empowered to build a better working world.”

A people-led recognition

The HR Asia award process involves a detailed evaluation of companies’ HR practices from the perspective of their employees. EY GDS Philippines has consistently outperformed market averages across various categories, particularly in culture and ethics, active initiatives as well as in diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I).

EY GDS places a significant emphasis on cultivating a work culture grounded in ethical practices and shared values. The company offers various flexible work arrangements, including remote work options and adaptable schedules, aimed at supporting work-life balance. This approach not only helps enhance employee satisfaction but also promotes a culture of trust and accountability.

“We believe that providing our talents with the flexibility to thrive in their roles is essential,” said Linda Wang, EY GDS Philippines Location Talent Leader. “We support EY GDS employees to make decisions that align with their values and uphold the organization’s high ethical standards.”

Additionally, the survey found that employees have shown greater appreciation for the organization’s active initiatives to foster a healthy work environment through encouraging employee activity clubs, platforms for feedback and recognizing employee contributions.

The organization has also demonstrated a strong commitment to help in enhancing the employee experience through various professional development programs. These include mentorship opportunities, skill-building workshops and career development initiatives designed to help empower employees and prepare them for future challenges.

“EY GDS continues to invest in talent education and development. At every stage of their careers, EY GDS professionals have access to multiple learning programs, such as the EY Tech MBA by Hult, the first-ever fully accredited corporate MBA, as well as EY Badges which enable professionals to earn badges in future-focused skills — from new technologies to transformational leadership values,” Wang added.

Lastly, central to the EY GDS organizational culture is DE&I. The organization’s high DE&I scores, well above the market average, reflect its dedication to creating an inclusive environment where all employees feel valued and supported regardless of their background.

“Creating an inclusive workplace is not just a goal but a continuous commitment,” Wang affirmed. “We strive to help ensure that everyone has equal opportunities to thrive, providing avenues for employees to explore various roles and geographical locations within the EY network, thereby fostering growth and exploration.”

EY GDS, a global network of over 70,000 professionals working across borders to provide innovative and strategic business solutions to EY member firms to support EY clients around the globe, began its operations in Manila in 2015 with just 25 people. The organization has since grown its headcount to 5,000 and opened a second center in Cebu in October 2023. This expansion marks another significant step in the EY GDS journey to support technological transformation in the Philippines and strengthen the country’s position as a preferred IT-BPM destination.
