CALUMPIT, Bulacan — At least four elementary schools in this town cancelled classes Thursday due to flooding caused by high tide and rain brought by habagat.
Calizon Elementary School in thigh-deep floods had classes cancelled until tomorrow, Friday.
Raul Musni, school head of Calizon said that since yesterday the school has been submerged in water due to the hightide so they decided to implement the alternative delivery mode, modular and online classes.
Musni added that four classrooms here have been abandoned due to constant flooding. Facilities, he assured though, are still sufficient to accommodate the 238 students.
The Calumpit MDRRMO said that aside from Calizon, elementary schools in the barangays of Meysulao, San Miguel, and Bulusan have also canceled classes today due to the hightide.
